Cookie Notice

Version v0.1 · Effective April 18, 2026 · Last updated April 18, 2026

This notice explains what cookies and similar technologies FollowMe42 uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. This is a companion to our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files websites store on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and service worker caches — all of which let a site remember information between visits or while you're using it.

Throughout this notice, we use "cookies" as shorthand for all of these.

What we use and why

We use only what's needed to make FollowMe42 work. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share data with ad networks.

Strictly necessary

These are required for the Service to function. You can block them in your browser, but doing so will break things like staying logged in and saving your game preferences.

Functional

These are not strictly required but improve your experience by remembering your last game setup.

Analytics

We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this notice and the Privacy Policy before doing so, and (where required) request your consent first.

Advertising

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not permit third-party advertising on the Service.

Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by services we use to operate the Service:

We do not control how these providers use the cookies they set beyond requiring them to do so consistent with our contracts.

Your choices

In your browser

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Instructions for common browsers:

Clearing cookies or local storage will sign you out and reset your preferences, but will not delete your account.

On mobile devices

Most mobile operating systems offer similar controls through the browser or system settings. PWA storage can usually be cleared by removing the installed app.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry-standard response to this signal, and we do not currently change our behavior based on it. We do not track you across other sites regardless.

Global Privacy Control

Where applicable under California law, we recognize the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information in the first place, but we honor the signal as additional confirmation.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
